The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

Instead, it will be available online via Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

Viewable from any computer, cell phone or iPad or laptop.

The information source isn’t CNN, Fox, or even MSNBC. It’s Anonymous – and it’s all because of WikiLeaks.  Our government might have a tight grip on Julian Assange or Bradley Manning. But they can’t stop those who have followed in their footsteps.

Occupy Wall Street is coming to Portland on October 6th. Check out OccupyPDX on Twitter.

Corporations are losing control of their messaging system. Thankfully, the people finally control a system that cannot be influenced by Wall Street or our corporate-owned global leaders.

‘Norma Rae’ Dead at 68 After Struggle With Her Insurance Company to Get Chemo

I was saddened to read about the passing of the real life “Norma Rae”. Even more tragic is how her death could have been prevented. Unfortunately, we do not have enough “Norma Rae” heroes today to inspire others to create real health care legislation.

When you have a moment, please take a moment to read the post at the Crooks & Liars website.

The video below provides a very good analysis and reminder of why we MUST demand protection for unions – and anyone who wants to organize one.

Occupy Portland General Assembly Meeting – Video

This is from the Occupy Portland website

The peaceful protest will begin October 6th – and hopefully will mark the beginning of the end of Wall Street’s tight grip on our culture – our democracy and our elections.
When the media FINALLY begins covering this incredible protest, you can bet that it will be filled with smears and whatever they believe will serve as negative attention.  They will use whatever image(s) or perspectives that satisfies their viewers negative preconceptions and prejudices.

Why?

Because Wall Street not only owns the media, but it will be in complete “damage control” mode.  It will mean that they have lost control of the messaging system, and their push to keep Americans uninformed is no longer in their control.

Wall Street Banksters Sip Champagne on balcony above Protesters

Probably the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen that comes close to the infamous “Let them eat cake” moment by Marie Antoinette. And we all know how that turned out for her, don’t we?

Copied from Wonkette.com.

Here’s the actual video of the Wall Street suits literally drinking champagne and laughing from balconies while thousands of serious and determined protesters march below. The best thing about this video is knowing the cops saw the Wall Streeters do this outrageous Marie Antoinette act. And while some of the cops have been utter assholes, most of the NYPD officers working the protest have been decent and good-humored — and they’re also part of public-sector unions, and they’re also working class people, and they’re also wrestling with collapsing home values and collapsing pensions and an intentionally destroyed infrastructure.

Let’s all drink to the cops remembering the faces of everyone yukking it up and sipping champagne on this balcony.
