C-Street House: The Club House for Crazies

Rachel Maddow did an amazing job covering this almost two years ago.

Basically, they are a group of religious fanatics who have succeeded in using their influence and powerful connections within the government – from both parties – to appease their Republican fundamentalist base.

They seem to be as secretive as the mafia and equally as powerful. If you need protection from radicals who frown upon sexually explicit scandals, then these people are the ones you want on your side. The same way you’d want the mafia’s back if you had a cop wacked or killed a hooker.

And these people are indeed as crazy as they are powerful.

They have prayer sessions that aren’t anything like what you’d see in a run of the mill church. Speaking in tongue and insisting that they are indeed above any form of reproach – beyond any form of punishment – and that they will never be treated like the law relates to them.  The book is on sale now at Amazon for $10.  Check it out online, also.
